Another year on

Well, damn, it's another year gone. I can hardly keep up with it these days. Maybe it's best to start looking for Christmas presents early???

Anyway, India was interesting. Some good bits, some not so good bits. We spent 2 weeks going around Rajasthan. The Jodhpur fort was superb, the Taj Mahal wsa initial very impressive but ultimately I prefered the "baby Taj". I bit more intimate and personal.

Stayed in some nice hotels too.

I have never seen so many chaps doing their morning business (if you follow) right next to the railway tracks.

Anyway, where to next. Either Tanzania, Argentina or Bolivia. No idea as yet.

Some more India pics will be uploaded when I have some time to actually give them more than a cursory glance.

Going to India

Well, here is one of those rare journal updates. I'm going on holiday again at the beginning of December. This time I'm off to India. I have not been out to this part of the world before so I'm looking forward to it... The weather has been so rubbish domestically this year so it will be good to pull out the camera for a bit.

And then it's back to work for a couple of weeks before Christmas. So all in all, roll on December!

Comments & Friends

Evening all. I've been meaning to check out the work of those people who have been commenting and adding me their friends list for a while now. Sometimes it seems that no matter how much you try to keep up you are fighting a losing battle!

I don't check DA too often (maybe a couple of times a week) but I still have the best of intentions of actually getting through a few of them.

I will, I will, I will... at some point. In fact I'm going to start again now.

Back from holiday

Well, I've been on holiday to Canada, on the West side. Very nice. Wanted to go for a long time. I didn't kill anyone by driving on the wrong/right side of the road which is a positive bonus.

Now it's back to the joys of a working life. I have some pics that I will upload at some point - I say at some point. May be months!

I went into a place in Jasper to get some images put on a disc to free up some memory card space. I got back home to find that the wally had somehow managed not to actually write the disc. Special. I'm emailing them in the hope I can get copies (I was told while there they stay on a computer for a month) but so far zip.

Fingers crossed.

I apologise if I miss someone's comments, questions or links. It's been a really hectic week and I've just sat down to actually type something here.

And I keep getting the feeling I'm missing bits and bobs - replying to people, ways of getting images "out there".

All I can say is thanks for all the comments so far, the links and the faves, and for taking the time to dig around... It has given me something interesting to have a read before I get back to the grind. Oooohhhhhh the grind!
